this is just a theoretical question that I asked a couple friends:

suppose you were one of the unlucky ones stuck under the rubble when the earthquake happened and you have no food no water no one to hear you for days until rescue comes, would you drink ur own piss to stay alive or would u just die?

when rescue does come and they question you on how you survive with no food or water, what would you say?

for me, i would choose to die instead of drinking my own piss, but my friends had very interesting responses

After reading about the Haiti quake I'm going to add a Fox40 whistle. It takes a lot of effort and energy to shout for help through a pile of rubble, and when help is finally nearby you may be too weak to talk. A whistle requires very little air to function and can be extremely loud.

Honestly I'd try to figure out a way to kill myself. I'd rather get it over fast instead of slowly dying. The worst part is that a day would seem like a week and you would most likely survive for at least 3 days.

but id eat bugs, any water that trickles down, if i can get at my piss.. id try and store it, and drink it over time
because prolonged drinking will cause ur kidneys to fail, as ur not adding water so the percentage of waste increases

can't drink my own piss... piss is salty according to numerous survival guides, and that will speed up your dehydration.

Thankfully, im above average weight for my height and can survive with my body eating the stored fat, probably for a week, maybe two. the only time a human will be thankful he's chubby.

Just remember to sleep, cause you won't last long without it.

I doubt that. If you havent been drinking water all night its all the shit your body has been flushing out for the 6-8 hours you have been sleeping.
I'd guess the last piss of the day would be the cleanest since as long as you are drinking a steady supply of water throughout the day you are the most hydrated.
