Good...finally a character that Seth Rogen can somewhat resemble!! Considering that the Green Hornet is NOT FUNNY, this will hopefully be the second movie where hes trying NOT to make people laugh.

I disagree. There's gonna be a ton of Jay Chou fans that would watch this movie just
because Jay Chou's in it.
For those that aren't gonna watch it because of Jay Chou, you guys weren't gonna
watch it anyway in the first place.

They put Jay Chou in this movie cause they knew that if it failed in the USA they could at least break even showing it in China to the 1.3 billion people there.

gotta somewhat retract my original comment,
watched it today to see how Jay Chou fills Bruce Lee's shoes.
I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Usually Seth Rogen films are hit or miss, but this one had a good balance of comedy and cool gadgets. Trailer undersells the movie.
On that note though, Jay Chou still can't act worth shit. But he had a few good one liners.

^Maybe its just me but I found it hard to understand what he says at times.
Agree with the balance of comedy.

It was VERY difficult to make out what Jay Chou tries to say. I'm gonna rewatch this movie with subtitles when it comes out on DVD.
imdb failed at getting Jay Chou's name right even though its on the movie poster The Green Hornet (2011) - IMDb@@AMEPARAM@@http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTcwOTMwMDYyMl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzAxMjMyNA@@._ V1._SX94_SY140_.jpg@@AMEPARAM@@BMTcwOTMwMDYyMl5BMl 5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzAxMjMyNA@@@@AMEPARAM@@SX94@@AMEPAR AM@@SY140
NOTE: I dont know why it comes up with two lines when i post the link here.

It was alright. Pretty good balance with funny one liners and action.
3D wasn't necessary though. I went soley because of Jay Chou though,
otherwise I would have just waited for DVD release... or at the very least,
not watch it on the first day it's out. (I usually never watch movies on opening day)
I enjoy Seth Rogan though. One of the few comical actors I find funny. And his last
few movies made me laugh quite a bit. Jay Chou's English wasn't good, but I figured out
everything he was saying... probably because I saw the movie already expecting non-
perfect English. So those that were expecting him to speak like a white man, no shit you
wouldn't understand then.
Anyway, doesn't matter. If you enjoyed it, you enjoyed it. And if you hated it
because you don't know who the actors are or rated it without watching it... then.. yea.

3D definitely wasn't necessary at all (except for the mind boggling credits). Seth Rogen isn't over the top and annoying and is always enjoyable to watch.
Jay Chou's English sucked big time, but it kind of reminded me of Rush Hour, where the foreigner is always hilarious due to his ESL-ness.

hmm . . . . I guess I could take some time out of my schedule to watch my asian brother in action. :troll:

Saw it the other night in Chilliwack's UltraAVX 3D theater. As a side note, those seats they have are sooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking comfortable. Finally Cineplex realizes that reclining seats are actually beneficial!
The movie was actually far better than I was expecting. When I first heard that Seth Rogen was staring in Green Hornet, it made me feel a little iffy about seeing it. However, I'm glad I did. There were some great one-liners and the action scenes were pretty cool, though when I first saw Kato's slow motion bit it seemed a bit cheesy. However, I quickly got used to it and it later felt like it fit in. It had a good mix of comedy, cheese and action. The 3D was unnecessary for the most part (hell, I even took off the glasses for a good twenty minutes during the "talking scenes" and only noticed one scene that was in 3D, though I did love what they did for the ending credits. It's not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it's an enjoyable way to waste a couple hours.
7/10, mostly for the entertainment factor.

i love it to say the least . definitely recommend this movie
and to the people who're talking shit about jay chou being in the movie:
guess what? he's an artist . he makes songs and sings them . he isn't an actor who's talented in doing this shit . his performance in movies has dramatically increased if you watched his first movies like initial d and that basketball one . also, he's taiwanese and playing the role of an ASIAN GUY . why would you expect good english from him in the movie?

lol, my gf told me James Franco was in the movie at the end of it.
And I'm like who? where? I didn't see him. I guess I didn't recognized him during the movie.
Remember the Terminator 2 kid?
Eddie Furlong was in the movie too, although his role was quite short.
