Favorite Simpsons episode ?
Onassis

Feeling pretty rough today so I'm browsing through some old Simpson's episodes to get a chuckle or two. It's a shame they don't make them as good as they used to, but I digress:
You only move twice
http://wtso.net/movie/383-802_You_Only_Move_Twice.html
I remember watching this when it first came out on Fox over a decade ago (Sunday nights at 9 sharp). To me it's the perfect episode where it mixes Homer's moral problems, the family's unconditional support of Homer, and just general WTF moments with Hank Scorpio's impromptu dialogue that blend it all together. There was a rumor that they were going to bring Hank back for the Simpson's movie but I guess they decided to change him to that government guy in the suit... Ironic maybe but I'm glad they didn't ruin his character.
Simpson's has been on for over 20 years now (so many of us literally grew up with it), what's your favorite episode and why ?

My favourite episode was Behind the Laughter.
http://www.wtso.net/movie/43-The%20Simpsons%201122%20Behind%20The%20Laughter.ht ml
If you can't tell it's a parody of Behind the Music, in which they portray the Simpsons as actors.
The best episode is when homer gets a eye operation and the doctor prescibes homer prescription weed and then he gets ripped with otto LOL

The one where Homer changes his name to Max Powers
Homer: Kids, there's three ways to do things. The right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way!
Bart: Isn't that the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!
Marge: But I married Homer Simpson! I don't want to snuggle with Max Power.
Homer: You don't snuggle with Max Power, you strap yourself in and feel the G's!
:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

the Brazil episode too.
Das Bus, where the kids of Springfield Elementary are a Model UN, and they get stuck on an island. Parody of Lord of the Flies.
There's a lot of episodes that I like. Got Season 1-12? and 20 on set.

The lemon tree episode my friend and I can quote almost 80% of the lines. Also when burns' casino opened was another favorite.
"We'll take the spruce moose! Hop in!"
"But sir, I~"
"I said, HOP IN."

I liked the recent Treehouse of Horrors ep with the zombie apocalypse and Bart was the immune person/antidote. The zombie war ended when Bart bathed in soup and the infected drank from it.
..but one of the best I liked is the one where Homer raised Pinchie, his pet lobster and accidently boiled it when he was giving it a hot bath.

Hmm, just as I suspected from reading this post.
I grew up with the Simpsons, just like many people on here. I'm sure it's formed my sense of humour growing up. But I'm older now, and I was growing up over a decade ago, in the prime years of the the Simpsons.
Pretty much everyone on here's favourite episode is from the early days of the Simpsons. Which says alot. The show was SOO good back then. And now, it's just not. In fact, it's a BAD and UNFUNNY show.
It is my humble opinion that that should cancel the Simpsons, and should have done so many years ago. Why keep it struggling on life support? Pull the plug, and let it leave us with whatever dignity it has left.

I dunno about a favorite ep, but my one all-time favorite scene is a very early one, where the family gets lost in the woods while camping... to feed the family, Homer and Bart set out hunting, and Homer sets a snare to trap a rabbit. Well... bunny comes along, steps on the snare... snare snaps up... a few seconds later you see bunny plummeting to the ground in the distance.
So subtle... SOOOO funny. Like the classic Road Runner bits where Wile E. goes through a massive effort and plummets off a mile-high cliff... only to end in a small *poof*.
