F.I.R. (飛兒樂團), one of Taiwan’s most popular bands, formed by renowned producer Ian Chen hit it big with “Lydia,” the theme song for the Taiwanese TV drama “The Outsiders (鬥魚).”When the drama was aired in Taiwan without revealing the singer of the theme song, fans clamored to know the identity, leading to F.I.R.’s big success when they finally debuted in 2004. The name F.I.R. comes from the initials of the names of the three members: Faye, Ian, and Real. It’s also an acronym for “Fairyland in Reality.” F.I.R. released their fifth cd, Let’s Smile on Christmas Day, which shot to the top of the charts in Asia.
