| bomb threat on seabus?
what's the deal.. nothing on news1130.com, but the radio says theres a bomb threat.. rcmp chopper and news chopper circling the quay..

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - TransLink is advising people to stay away from the Lonsdale Quay bus loop or SeaBus Terminal in North Vancouver. The discovery of a suspicious object has closed the entire area, creating severe delays for people commuting by transit between North Vancouver to downtown Vancouver.
TransLink has put a 'bus bridge' into service between Lonsdale Quay and Waterfront Station. There are also road closures in the area. Transit Supervisors are on site directing passengers to the appropriate locations to pick up their buses.
Police say the suspicious object was found in the Lonsdale Quay/SeaBus terminal area, forcing an evacuation of the entire area. There is no update on the contents of the package. Stay tuned to News1130 for updates on the situation.

Olympic protesters perhaps? It seems so easy to cause this city to shut down..they can leave a suspcious package on the seabus, abandon a car on the bridge, toss a tree onto the skytrain tracks...and that'll do it! Or do all that while Critical Mass is on.
