where to take panorama of vancouver?

i was at costco today and panorama photos of vancouver caught my eye. i was tempted to buy them but figured it would be cheaper, and if not cheaper at least more interesting and meaningful for me to take the pictures myself.

one thing i cant figure out is where the photographer stood to take hte picture. its a view of downtown from teh false creek/granville island side (photo includes science world and rest of the vancouver downtown skyline). any ideas?

also it would be my first time trying something like this. any tips for better photos? (when shooting, when processing, when printing etc.)

I've been to the top of VGH on the roof before. It was a crappy day though. I know someone that has access and i can go up there with him when we are both around. So the top of VGH with a 70-200 or something would be fantastic.
