There's also a room you can watch something in HD but long line up. Only checked out

There is more to do in the Yaletown site (sponsor booths) but there are shitloads of lineups to do anything short of taking a dump in a portapotty. Panasonic has a 3D movie theater thing but I didn't check it out -- too many lineups!

Beside the Quebec Pavillion is the Ontario Pavillion which also has a "4D" movie - a bit of a lineup for a 10min movie but it's actually pretty cool.

The Downtown site has a small pavillion, a live music tent and a pretty lame Manitoba house.

Ya, Alexisonfire was pretty intense. The opening band had a huge pit/surge to the front as it was. The surge at the start of Alexisonfire was too much for the shitty barriers. Bunch of people hurt, one chick broke her leg and the bone protruded out of her flesh. Sucks, but it's understandable. Barrier was pretty much done in. I showed up at about 630-7 and it wasn't that long of a wait. Going to most likely have to end up showing up at that time again (get off work the same time etc) and hopefully I'll get in to Deadmau5.

If you've ever been to a Warped Tour, or any concert of a band like that, the surge/pit is pretty standard stuff. Love it/live for it at shows. Too bad the barrier wasn't up to snuff, but I must commend the job that the security was doing, especially during the first band playing. I have not seen such an efficient, and well done job catching/pulling down crowdsurfers in a long long time.

There's assholes like that in ANY crowd. No matter how well behaved it is. Overall I think that the crowd was very good. I didn't too many negative things being yelled myslef. Sure there was, but a lot of people were pissed about having to wait all that time to (understandably) have the show cancelled. What I do remember is everyone bursting out singing O Canada though. What about that moment? That was pretty positive and awesome if you ask me. Try to focus on the positives of shitty situations. The world has too much negativity in it.

Got there at 9:48pm and thought it'd be a breeze to walk in..WRONG! The line was wrapped all the way around and was heading right towards Richmond Center's parkade. I thought it would just be a lineup for the Holland House, went up to the front of the line..WRONG again...stood on the side and contemplating if I should go line up or not and thinking OLP was going to play only a few songs and the line-up would be well over an hour long, so decided to just stand around to see if their was a way to get in. You can also hold it at the bell igloo. Thats where i took pics with it yesterday. It's upstairs at the exit/entrance of PC just down from the apple store. When I went 2 nights ago at 8pm it was a 5 min wait.
