VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Vancouver Police are searching for an actor best known for his part in the sitcom 'Growing Pains'. Andrew Koenig, 41, who played Richard 'Boner' Stabone in the show came to Vancouver on holiday, but didn't return home to California as scheduled on February 16th. Police say Koenig used to live in Vancouver but has been depressed lately, and family and friends are worried about his well-being. Andrew was last seen by friends on February 14th.

Andrew is described as 5'5, 135lbs, with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who sees Andrew or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

VANCOUVER — Police believe a body found at noon today in Stanley Park is that of missing actor Andrew Koenig.

Koenig, 41, played the character Richard (Boner) Stabone in the 1980s TV series Growing Pains. The actor, who has a long history of depression, was visiting Vancouver and was last seen by friends on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

His father, Walter, who played the character Chekhov on the original Star Trek series, had appealed to the public to help find his son.

An earlier search of Stanley Park, a favourite place of Andrew's since he lived here for about three years in the early '90s, had failed to find any trace of him.
