but i have a feeling part of the video is missing from the beginning, cops dont just pull a gun for no reason. someone must've chucked a snowball at the cop/detective and hit him to make him pull out a gun, which i assume was cut from the video so the video makes it look like its all the cop's fault.

They hit the detectives (off duty I think) car with snowballs, he gets out all mad and pulls his gun, then some jackass hit the cop with snowballs. This video is from after the video I saw way back, which only showed up to before the other officers arrived.

Now I can't say pulling the gun was the best idea, but considering the hostility I got from some retard kids who hit my car with a chunk of ice (when I was driving!) I can sort of understand his angle. These hippie retards need to realize that they need to shut the fuck up, and not to have a big snowball fight near a friggin road where they're gonna be hitting cars and bystanders.

cop overreacted, snowballers pushed his buttons more. Mushroomed into something more serious.

both at fault, but cop being an authorative figure should've assessed the situation better. Snowballs are not life-threatening, if he held his cool he could've asked the crowd to disperse or take the snowball fight off the street, to some place safer. If they resist or become beligerent, THEN and only then should the cop be forced to escalate it, but not by pulling a gun.

...stranger things have happened though. You get tasered for holding a stapler over your head, so this could be the case as well.
