anyone know who to call to get a house restored after flooding, like de-humidifiers, cleanup etc?

i've been calling all over and only getting negative responses or companies that just deal with commercial properties and they just tell me they're clueless about anyone who does residential work -_-

and if you guys are wondering a pipe burst on a house we got with no1 who lives there, so it might have been collecting water for a week (last time anyone was there) drywall needs to be replaced etc etc -_-

don't have any and im not close the property atm

but the drywall is basically paper and the waters seeped between the 1st and 2nd floor
and a tonne of water soaked into the carpet on the ground floor

Try Phoenix Restorations (http://www.phoenixrestorations.com), I recently dealt with them when my apartment flooded, but that was all covered by the building so I have no idea on their pricing. They only did the preliminary work like dehumidifiers fans and stuff like that as the actual reparation jobs got outsourced to First on site (http://www.firstonsite.ca/).

no insurance coverage?

My mom's house flooded. Insurance covered it. Insurance company did all the work. Inspection done, estimate done, restoration company called, etc.

On Side was the company that came to my mom's house. Bad experience. Took way too long. Had to call so many times to get them to finish. They apologize, but do nothing about it. Like a fucking C-Lai saying sorry after cutting you off thinking it'll fix the problem and making it all better.

ONSIDE RESTORATION! 310-2407

I know a lot of these guys, they've got a huge team with hundreds of trucks, well experienced.
They were the ones that fixed up that apt in richmond when the small plane hit it.

They do everything and have facilities and staff 24hrs a day. If in doubt about service as for Dallas or Justin or Rick.

I know all those guys, did all their company vehicles. Super nice guys and they are more than qualified to handle anything.

And these guys too are highly used in the insurance industry, both for commercial and residential restoration.

I highly suggest Belfor Restoration:
http://www.ca.belfor.com/index.php?id=50&L=0

There's a smaller operation too called Premier Restoration which also provides good service. But I don't have the contact number. I'll be at the office tomorrow and can get it for you if you check tomorrow at 11am.

We didn't realize the extent (monetarily speaking) of the damage until that guy came and gave us an estimate

we didn't think it necessary to call our insurance company

but the guy quoted roughly $40k

so we called our insurance and they're sending someone from Belfor

.supreme.

Friend of mine runs a restoration company. Let me know if you're still looking and i'll put you in touch. Chances are he can beat your quote.

my buddy's house in EV got totally flooded when the pipe must have frozen and burst over dec.

he was living in and outta hotels for the last 2 months give or take, and it was pretty shitty during the olympic bookings rush.

insurance took care of everything, i don't even think he had to call one dude except for the plumbers and stuff so he could get new designs for sinks/bathrooms.

That is because phoenix restoration does hazmat removal (ie. asbestos & mould). They would only get called in by a restoration company after drying had occured on a property.

I deal with a lot of the companies that are listed above since often times i have to inspect their work.
