Damn, you got ripped off. Where did you buy it from? You can't just return it?
london drugs was 2999+tx.. I lost the receipt so I thought I would try rs before trying to see if they would accept a return w/o a receipt.
honestly I don't care anymore.. I'll use this for a bit. It just feels slow compared to something like a 7D

two totally different cameras for two separate uses.. if you need speed for sports, then stick with the 7D or 1D

^^ I'm sure they have your receipt on the computer considering it was a $3,000 purchase. Why would you wanna lose $400 just like that? And yeah, 5D has lower FPS but it's FF and the noise levels are way lower than 7D.
I was aiming for a 1Ds, the 5D was a compromise on speed and af since I wanted the full frame. noise levels are not that much better than my old 20d.. but then again I've hardly used it

r u kidding? i have a 20D and 5Dmk2, the 5Dmk2 noise at 6400iso was comparable to my 20D at 1600iso. HUGE difference

yeah I'll go try it out again.. I've only done 1 or 2 shots at 6400 and I was not impressed. and the 1Ds 3 was much cleaner at 3200 vs 3200

If you want really clean shots, go with Nikon D3s. Beats Canon 1D MKIV.
