Just looking for an opinion on what TV I should get. I am look for a Sharp Aquos 52" LCD 1080 p @ 120 Hz or Sharp LED 46" or go different with the Panasonic Viera in a 52"

April has 3D tv price is about 2500 for 40"
Depends on what you want led vs lcd vs plasma, imo plasma has best black and colour, led's just bright but doesn't show true colour. But if your room is bright get lcd.

the 3D TV's are very underwhelming, tried 3 different setups in the livecity yaletown Samsung house, didnt find any of them impressive

Why bother with a 3d tv. Nothing will come out with 3d for years. There might be the odd video release but not worth the mark up. Just another add on to sell tv's
