Windows 7 Validation Problem

So like everyone else I have the cracked version of Windows 7 Ultimate.
The other day I had Windows Update on auto, so it updated for me.
Now it says I have a Validation problem.
Anyone know how to fix this? Is there a patch to fix this or do I have to reinstall Windows?

Like everyone else?
Why not go and buy a legitimate copy?

if you want a free OS use Linux... or maybe an oldass copy of XP.

uninstall one of the updates, forgot which it was but a quick google search will show it.

is it not possible to roll back the system to a previous saved point? I know it worked for XP :lol

Give this a go. Hopefully, MS hasn't "fixed" it in 7.

You can get a legit copy of 7 for like $40. You must be seriously cheap.
You should get a legit version...but in the interests of providing information, it's KB971033. It's an optional update so you can always tell it not to install.
You can't back out of it and uninstalling still won't undo it. You'll likely have to reinstall.

I stand corrected then :D
I'm using a legit version so I haven't had the need to crack it but good to know in case any buddies run across the same thing.

Ultimate is $200.
And I'm running the cracked version because It was there, free, and it worked when I built my new computer.

no one say no to free if it's legit/legal.. what you are trying to do is not.. ur logic is stupid.. i'm using it coz it's there and free.. so you are saying if someone left their car running you gonna steal it coz it's just sitting there?
how is this different than torrenting a movie or game? or several?
the WAT remover is the only useful post in this thread

I had the Ultimate RC, now I'm running Home Premium or whatever the student upgrade is. I haven't noticed anything missing yet, I'm not sure what the differences are but when it cost $40 and is a full, legit copy, you can't go wrong.

there are a few way to change your key...like magic jelly beans
but the sticker is likely an OEM key which may or may not work with the pirated version installed on your machine now

all you have to do is right click the update, then "hide update".

I'm thinking of switching from XP to 7. Is this for a full version or upgrade? And where can u get it for $40?

I'm running 7 Home Premium on my desktop downstairs. I also have a new copy (Actual DVD + key) for 7 Professional, that I'm debating what I want to do with.
I bought both, and they were definitely worth buying. Please don't lump everyone else in with your pirating ways.

MS had a deal if you were a student to purchase the upgrade for $40.

still there if you're in university.
if you have a buddy in BCIT/UBC/SFU comp sci, just bug them for a free copy of Win7 Pro if they're not using it already. MSDNAA ftw!

And with an extra 20 minutes you can use the upgrade as a full install.
