I've read your review.

Based on a benchmark that I've read, the Athlon II X4 635 is far superior than the i3 530 and 540.

Depends on what you're doing with it. In cases where all 4 threads are used, a true quad core will beat a hyperthreaded dual core. But where cache counts, the Core i3 wins.

But for the most part yes, go with the 635. It's not "far superior" but it is probably the better choice.

And BTW you should be using Newegg.ca to price CPU's, not NCIX.
