I remember last year, there was a Toyota site where you can get tickets by filling out some survey.

Seeing the Reventon will be worth the trip already!

My dad is a car hauler and apparently the news is that Nissan will not be there. And Toyota is supposedly going to have 28 vehicles there. Don't
know if that is including Lexus or not, but that seems like a lot of cars to me.

Yup, Nissan/Infiniti won't be at the show. This year's show is very small, but there will be an addition of a Motorcyle section. We'll see how this goes. :)

Reventon will be worth it i think. I hope the motorcycle section will be a lot bigger this year. Last year the motorcycle expo was only like 10 bikes.

Pat Richard from Rocket Rally, driver for Subaru Canada, will be there with his rally car too.

Yeah I don't see why Nissan/Infiniti wouldn't show their cars...

Does anyone how you can get a media pass, would be better to shoot the cars without all the people... I remember some people did that last year.

I saw that 722S and LP640 driving on Pacific Blvd. yesterday turning into BC Place. Had a bunch of people following them hanging out from cars trying to take photos.

-the SLR mclaren 722 (its dark cherry red) has its own platform with a lotttt of space around it (of course lol)
-135i is white with CF components
-everything else is pretty moderate. not too bad :)

-the hyundai genesis caught my eye, but damn...Its white on black matte rims...super nice!

Sounds like your on the main floor... biggest showing should be from SR, with the Reventon, white LP640, black 722s.

It's only worth using a tripod on the main floor becuase there is more space... top floor, good luck with that. Just shoot at higher ISO, if you hold your camera steady and are above 1/30 or 1/40 you should be good.

I'll be going tomrrow since I got a free ticket.

Agreed. Went there after work today. On the one hand it was nice, as there weren't a lot of people... but it was waaay worse than previous years.

The only thing keeping it from being a complete waste, were the exotics! Om nom nom

noticeably smaller than previous years
cars i enjoyed looking at, fiesta, mazda2, 135i M, Z4 M... SR's line up lol

Just got back from the show, lacking a few brands this year, seems like the show gets smaller and smaller every year.

Highlights
-fords got a few fiesta 4 door hatches out for you to see
-the fiat 500 and mazda2 are on the platform, didn't really get a sense of cars unlike ford and their fiestas (sit in)
-Scions got a nice small booth, finally coming

2) Scion gave out free headphones and CD for getting on the mailing list.

3) Fanboys would not get out of the GTI or Evo.

4) Did anyone get one of those clear plastic VW pen holders? I got a blue GTI one and 2 years ago I got a Touraeg. Both times I had to swipe them from the back of a counter because no one was ever around to hand them out.
