Well for my next car I'm getting a NSX
Anywho, found a unreal deal to good to be true. Heres what I got back from my email.
Hello and sorry for delay Mike,
Thanks for being interested in buying my Black 1992 Acura NSX. All power and optional equipment work perfect, the car is in a good condition, no scratches, no damages, never been involved in any accident, no problems on the engine, it runs very well, it has a clear title, a perfect car! The car has 90000 Km, is black with Tan leather. My last price is $11,000. You may wonder why I ask this small amount for this car. Well, the truth is that I have only few months to live and want to enjoy the remaining time. As I have no family left, the car will be the gift from me to a stranger. All I want is to find the right person who will love and take care of this car, as I did. Now I'm in Europe in my last trip but the car is stil in Canada. We will use only eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection to complete this deal. If you are interested and you have the needed money email me back to explain you how you can get this car.
This sounds a bit fishy to me

People who scam are complete morons, this is so obvious.

I think you are very stupid for even having to make a thread about this.
People who scam are complete morons, this is so obvious.
People who think things like this have the slightest chance of being true(ex: OP) are even bigger morons...

eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection to complete this deal
Don't know how many times I've heard this one. Probably follow up by giving you a case number ID or some story about how ebay will help with the sale.

Should most likely be a scam.
Most transactions that requires wiring of money and/or shipping of cars are most likely fake, and on top of that, he's only asking for such a low price, which would make it more of a scam. If he's dying and wants to "gift" the car to a stranger, why not actually gift it? Instead of still asking money. Or why won't he give it to a family member, or a good friend of his/her?
You should play along for a bit, I find it really funny to screw around with somebody whos trying to scam me.
Have fun!

You should tell the seller that you're originally from Nigeria.
I was just going to suggest that. Tell him your the son of the King of your village and he's left you millions of dollars and would like his help in escorting the money out of the country.
Come on guys...

If you do decide to get it, but feel fishy about having to send money, I can help you get the money to him for you.
Just give me the initial cost of the car in cash and I'll bring the money to him myself, plus some extra money on top to cover my flight to Europe.
Don't worry, I will be sure to thank the guy for giving you such a good deal.
PM me if interested

lol.. I'm going to Europe for a Vacation next month. If you give me the money in cash, I can bring it over and help you buy the car in person instead of over some internet service. You don't need to pay for my flight since I'm already going there. However, it would be nice if you could treat me to a burger after all this is done. XD
let me know if you want to use this free service of mine.

The biggest fail here is OP asking whether this is a scam like a clueless kid. Sorry man I can't believe people still get their hopes up for a "great" deal like this.
Might as well e-mail back and tell him to go suffer in his last days and rot in hell.

I could have so much fun.
I find these kind of deals a blessing that opens a golden opportunity to mess around with some idiot that thinks he's smart.
I'm bored... what's the ad? I want his email.

Hello,
The car is in Vancouver in my garage and it can be delivered to your place from there. I will come back in Canada to start the shipping of the car to your address or to meet you for pick up. First I need a proof that you are a serious and interested buyer who has the money and not a dreamer so I will come back in Canada only after you will make the payment. You must understand me, I can't come back in Canada if six different guys ask me to meet them for a test drive. I chose eBay as our third party because they offer protection both of us, they save me lot of time, they handle all the paperwork and collection of selling price, and will hold the payment until you decide to keep the car. To begin the transaction I'll need your full name and shipping address. The selling plan is very easy and safe. First eBay will send you the Invoice via e-mail, then you have to make the payment. Right after eBay will check the payment as available, the shipping company will deliver the car to your place. You will have 4 days to inspect the car, if you like it we have a deal. The lawyer and the notary from eBay will take care of all needed papers. Otherwise eBay will refund you the money immediately and the car will be taken from your place, on my cost. But I am sure the second situation will not happen because the car looks and runs great, I know you will simply fall in love with this car once you will drive it first. Please let me know your decision about this deal.
Thanks for your cooperation!

Hello Mauro,
I'm glad you can understand me. Look I'm located in Blackpool, and I can't come back in Canada to meet you without knowing for sure that you will buy the car, but I have another propose for you. You can send the money $5,500 from your wife's name or your daughter's name under your name so that means your daughter or your wife will be the sender of money and you will be the receiver. BUT you will use my Blackpool address so I can be able to check if the transfer is made. This will assure me that you are an interested buyer and that you won't make me waste my time for nothing. If you agree with this, you will have total access of transfer and no one can pick up your money! Prove me this and I will come to your place to meet you and to give you the car. Then we will register the car under your name. After papers are done and the car is titled under your name, you will change the receiver's name with mine. I'm waiting for your email as soon as possible so we can move forward with this!
Here is my address to use:
address: 97 Adelaide Street, City: Blackpool, Zip code: FY1 4LN, Country: United Kingdom
After the transfer is made you have to send me the scanned receipt received from Western Union stated that you made the payment. When you will make the transfer, tell to the Western Union agent that the receiver of the money is in UK and that you just borrow him the money or something. I am asking you this because when you will change the receiver's name with mine, I will be charged with a 5% fee for using Western Union services for business.
Thanks for understanding!

You never know once in a while people do sell off cars for nothing
Be cautious, check it out...see it in person if you can
run the VIN# ask for that first before anything. If the person is serious about selling they shouldnt hesitate to give that out for check

Hello
My 2001 Acura NSX Targa is in great shape. It is in a good condition, no scratches, and the price is $2900 firm.
The car was owned by my Dad and this car is not needed anymore, I am not much into cars but I know that this is in great shape and in perfect conditions I am only selling it cause I don't need it anymore and also I have to pay some debts so I need serious buyers and a fast deal.I am sorry to inform you but I am currently located in USA(visiting some relatives) but the car its still in Canada located at a shipping company in Terrace town and I can ship it anywhere so that wont be a problem. We will use eBay`s protection program for our safety.I just need your full name and address so I can open a case.
(with no further obligation or fees).
Have a nice day.
