Last night around 9pm I got pepper sprayed by two white guys who looked to still be in high school (probably grade 11-12 or just out of high school) when I went to go meet up with them at the Subway on Willingdon (across from brentwood mall) to sell this shirt.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j229/gnus888/MFJ1013030BLACK-DIAMONDFBALT.jpg
I believe they called me with a pay phone because I tried calling the number back and theres no answer and unfortunately the incident did not happen in front of the Subway instead it was at the bottom of the steps and on the side of the road so nobody witnessed it. The shirt they stole is size small so If anyone see's this shirt being re-sold online or see's anyone wearing the exact same shirt in their school/highschool or anywhere for that matter please contact me. I believe the two guys live in Burnaby. This shirt is pretty rare especially in size small so I don't imagine that there are too many people who own this shirt that live in the lower mainland.
I will offer a $100 monetary reward for anyone that can point me back to these fuckers.

did you meet them on rs? if you did mods might be able to retrieve the ip for you, considering there still living at home and using their own computers.

03-23-2010, 11:31 AM
What other info can you provide us?
Was this from Craigslist? do you have their email?
What other kind of contact did you have with them besides that one "payphone" call?
You can probably confirm if that number you called back belongs to a payphone if you get the police involved.
I'm not sure what emails can do for the police, but I assume IP can be tracked somehow.?
Any other info besides the two guys being white?
And how much were you selling that shirt for? How much is it worth on the market?
I don't know would they be stupid enough to wear it now, or if they even fit a small.
So if they are obviously not small white guys, they will be trying to sell it then.

I'm not sure what emails can do
if they were dumb enough to use their real email address, alot can be done to track them down. stalking101
but i suspect op put down his cell number in the ad so the guys did not contact them through email.

Well, provided they used a computer (unless it was net cafe), to email him with a fake or real email, some IP will be provided. Infact, it if was a net cafe, even better. As the cafe has cameras, can easily track who was using the computer during the time the email was sent.
But yeah, I don't know how far police will investigate if it was reported, since no one died, it's probably not going to go in their high priority list.

Ask Subway if they have security cameras pointing outwards or something?
Always worth a try.
Also is worth a try to get police involved imo, you can provide them with an e-mail and number they used, even though they might not be able to do much, but at least its reported and might have the chance of them being caught.
You can maybe even consult them to see if you can press assault charges if they are caught.

Along with doing it in a public place, you should ATLEAST have a friend with you in case something happens. You never know.
Also, being sprayed sucks like shit. And random cars pulling over to the side of the road late at night and jumping out to spray you and then with bats beat you and your friend down for no fucking apparent reason sucks. From then on Ive always been prepared if I ever have to walk at night alone or to walk people home.

yelnats8
03-23-2010, 04:13 PM
Yes, lesson learned indeed.
The attackers got my number from my craigslist ad so no emails were exchanged. The shirt is most likely going to be re-sold as I remember one of the guys asking me if I still had the tags for the shirt. However, both guys were small enough to fit shirt.
Getting sprayed was a horrible feeling. I was standing close to them so I got sprayed all over my face. Worst 45 mins of my life with the burning sensation.

this whole thing sounds fishy.... wth would sell an $800 shirt on a street corner in the dark... get attacked and not take the obvious steps, like calling the police
you were assaulted and robbed... the police would likely have all nearby security cameras screened etc etc
im going to be a dick and assume you didn't take the obvious steps a person would take because you were selling a fake shirt? and are afraid to get the authorities involved? (even if that were the case you could still contact the police)
if that's not the reason then your being stupid by not going to the authorities
you're still able to contact them and i suggest you do

For 800 bucks that shirt better be made from bald eagle, and weather-treated with a mixture of whale skin oil and children's tears.

good. obviously it would have been much easier for the cops to find the people that assaulted you had you called 911 immediately. they could have shut blocks down around you, etc. they take in-progress calls pretty seriously. but days after the fact, the likelihood of the police catching them is pretty low. all they have to really go on is your description (i hope it's better than "two white bois") and any available video. security videos, unfortunately, are not that useful as a lot of the time the video quality is pretty bad... that's if you're lucky enough that the video caught the suspects at all.
