Looked like the BMW didn't notice the red car in his/her blind spot and pulled into the left lane without checking. I'm surprised the red car didn't get crushed by the bus...it seemed to just bounce off the front of the bus and then out of the way.

Not sure how they'd see that in HK from an insurance standpoint, but I'd say the BMW is at fault here since they were the one that moved out of their lane and into another without checking. However, the red car wasn't exactly in a proper lane either...

And the other fucker was probably in such a hurry, he couldn't be bothered to slow down and proceed behind the BMW to pass the slow bus.

Like I said, this is a perfect example about how annoying Hong Kong can be sometimes ;)

it's on the news today...they say the bimmer should be at the rear bumper of the VW when the VW cut the lane. The bimmer was being an ass slipping right beside the VW and sandwich it between the bus.

I believe the bimmer hit the VW before it hit the bus. BTW, there are A LOT of asshole drivers in HK.

both are idiots but the red vw is 100% at fault.. he tried to fit into a space that didn't exist, and paid the price. first he pushes the bmw over so he can pass the bus, then he cuts back in front of the bus without waiting to see what the bmw does (who was still in front with right-of-way) also, looking at the vid carefully, I don't the bmw hit or got hit at all. the red car basically drove into the bus and got hit sideways by the bus, as the bmw keep going straight. and at least the bmw stopped... the guy filming everything is an even bigger douche.

That's why I had to get something with two turbos so I can pull these moves quickly. This move of barely getting in front of the other car and cutting it off is technically called "slap him in the face" in HK terms LOL.

The red car had all the time in the world to recognize the bus ahead of him! Either gas it so you can change lanes in front of all the other cars, or if you don't want to, slow down and change lanes safely behind gthe other cars. You can always just change back after you pass the bus...

Thats what he gets for trying to pull that fast and furious bullshit. The bmw was retarded too, no way i would've done what he did. I'm just siding with the bimmer cause the dumbfuck volkswagen initiated it. If I was the bimmer, I would've been pissed, but I also would've just slowed down instead of making the situation worse.

One was being a moron, the other was being an asshole. The moron in the red car left it until the last second to switch lanes, trying to get in front of the asshole in the red car. The asshole wouldn't back down and lose face, so the moron had no choice but to lane split. They tapped, then the accident happened.

I see this every single day in hong kong, not just with drivers, but with just about everyone. From people rushing onto the MTR before anyone can get out, to slinking through doors that are closing so they don't have to touch it, leaving it to slam in the face of the person behind them. It's part of the mentality here. So yes, I am making an assumption based on experience :)
