I know how you feel i did the same but i bought 3 and made 2. At first i tried to track down the previous owner my 93t tourquoise which is even more rare than your white 91 and never found him/her.

I hope you get that car, the damage on it isn't severe at all. You just gotta ask yourself, is it worth it to fix or just go out and buy one that isnt wrecked. I think i have a fender in my backyard somewhere if your interested, along with many other random parts.

It has 50k on the odo, and I call bullshit on that number being original. VIN number doesn't show up on aircare. Pretty sure it was registered outside of BC. I'm thinking JDM engine swap.
Unfortunately I dont have access to the Queensborough salvage yard, so I cant see it in person. I could buy my way through, but it costs around $500 a month, and I dont rebuild that many cars to justify that cost. It's really tricky buying based on the limited info ICBC gives. Sometimes the picture/info gives accurate details on damage, sometime you get burned. It can be like shooting fish in a barrel.

did u get a VIN number off him? if it's a total trust issue, i'd do: icbc report, carfax, lein check and also u can go on the aircare website and check for free when it was aircared and how many km's it had each time it was aircared. If the km's reading there is weird, it might be a hint that the km's are rolled, as you suspect! good luck!
