I just went to superstore close to my house about 45 mins ago, i found a car driving out of the spot and while idle waiting for the spot a car backed out on to my car lightly hitting me. You can see by the pics that there was only couple drop paint transfer on to my car and there were no dents scapes or anything else (right quarter panel).

I got out, it was an old chinese guy driving a buick and I told him that I was honking like crazy before he actually bumped into me. I saw the whole thing but was too late to react. He looked at my car and said that he was willing to give me $100 and leave it at that (no icbc involvement). At first I was like wanting to get his info but he slipped the $100 and then he left. I quickly wrote down his license plate in case.

A witness came over and saw the paint transfer and said I was lucky to get $100 for literally nothing.

Lucky for me, I have same color paint pen which I can apply so I guess problem solved on my own and $100 richer?

look to check if the rear bumper is still aligned. if its sagging or pushed a bit so that its a bit off then you got jewed. otherwise 100bucks for a scratch LOL id be happy with it unless i was driving some balling ass car.

Otherwise, a little car polish can do the trick.

I once sold an xbox elite to a guy on craigslist, when i met the guy, i got out of my car, gave him the box, he then proceeded to place the somewhat heavy xbox box on the hood of my skyline, while i was counting his cash, the fucker had the audacity to spin the box around to read the other sides of what was included in the package... meaning he made a pizza sized swirl scratches on my car. Every time you report to ICBC, they will take pictures of your car, assess it's condition and it will get entered into a database. If someone is looking to buy your car, they can get all these records from ICBC, which will lower your resale value. I would say, just drop it, if you are satisfied with the $100

it is were a brand new $60,000+ car or something with a custom paint job, no way I will take the $100

considering it is 6-7 years+ IS, and the dent is smaller then a rock chip...Yes, you are lucky u got $100 for it.
