March 30, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Department was equipped with “BMW 5 Series” police cars. 22 BMW's all had lights and sirens installed and police symbols painted on them. These vehicles will be operated by the Shanghai local police in full service during and after the 2010 World Expo.

i know majority of manufactures have plants in china that makes cars for domestic markets, but im not sure if higher end models r made there. a 550 is definitly not entry level... if it was a 528 or a 535 then it's possible, but a 550??

Everyone in China seems to like long wheelbase cars for some reason. Kind of ironic when Chinamen are shorter than Germans. :D Another really popular one is the Audi A6L. Dime a dozen EVERYWHERE (especially Beijing), and always in black for some reason.

Those are some nice blingy cop cars, but the dumb thing is that they'll look outdated in only a year when the F10 comes out.
