: where can i buy a lamb

Meowjin

Preferably a live one where I can kill it on my own. Some buddhist hippie told me that every time I eat an animal that it's like killing the animal. So I want to kill it on my own. And with greek easter coming up, it's a perfert oppurtunity to put a whole lamb on the spit.

If not, where can I buy a whole lamb skinned and gutted?

Do you know how to butcher an animal? and a good butcher shop should be able to get you one.

Clearly your friend doesn't understand Buddhism fully. :lol Anyway, go to a farm in Richmond or Langley then ask them how much it is.

Local lamb is more expensive than imported NZ lamb. Roughly double the price.

That is the worst way to go. If you want to kill an animal it should be one clean swift cut not a sawing back and forth motion. You should try to cause the animal the least amount of suffering not the most when killing it.

Halal killing of a goat must sign in to watch to to graphic content .

Killing with an Axe is not halal. The animal has to bleed to death to be halal.

I want to hang it by the hind legs (after stunning it) and put a knife in its throat, and then slit it.

It makes some sense. If I am to continue eatting meat i'm going the gordon ramsey approach. kinda like seasons 2 of the f word.

It makes no sense. He is suggesting that normal people who eat meat will suddenly have an aversion to it if they "realized" that animals were dying because of it. Of course animals die because of it. That's what animals do - eat each other. And for that to happen, one of them must die for it.

It's funny because I can guarantee that he or any other vegetarian kills far more species than any meat eater through their diet. They may not be cute fuzzy lambs, but plenty of animals died for his plants to grow on (yes, plants are meat eaters too) not to mention all the insects. And crop displacement on top of all that.

Vegetarians are such dumb fucking morons, it hurts my head to even consider that they think everyone should follow their stupid lifestyle.

Where does your meat on your table come from? the animal died somehow. When I was younger (like 8) I had like 40 rabbits strolling around in my backyard. I was pretty attached to them, and to come home one day and opening your freezer and seeing 40 skinned rabbits in your freezer had me crying for days. I need to see where my food comes from and how it is killed so I can appreciate it more when I see it on my plate.

i got this crazy ass video i took in vietnam of a pig getting killed.

looks like its harsh in pain when you hear it screaming.. oh man that sound fucks with you for awhile.

i guess it died slow and painful but it wasent so in-humane cause the people did some type of "buddhist prayer" and gave it a shot of rice vodka or some shit like that before they stabbed it

Funny that you mention rabbits.

Years ago, I used to work in the bush, brushing and spacing (no pun intended, it's a real job, haha)

Increased Brushing and Spacing
Young seedlings must be protected from brush and excessive tree competition which would choke them out or seriously inhibit their growth. Both activities increased substantially during the 1980’s (Figure 5). The use of chemicals in brush control peaked in 1989 and has decreased significantly since then in favour of manual and mechanical methods, as well as sheep grazing.

Anyways, I was with a 7 man crew of avid hunters and they showed me how to kill wild chickens by stunning them with rocks and running up and twisting their necks. Then they moved me up to small rifles (22cal) to shoot rabbits. I got 3 on my first go, found them and threw them in a box. Get back to hang, gut and skin them. The first 2 went alright then I get to the third, biggest one. Slice down the belly and what comes out?

6 more rabbits........

I saw the episode of the F word where he killed the pig he had been raising it was pretty graphic and it was hard for him to do. But I guess in the end you appreciate more where the meat comes from. And how it got on your plate

No indulgence you say? Buddha was fat.

Actually the sage Gautama Siddhartha (Shakyamuni) known as the Buddha of our age, wasn't.

http://www.asianart.com/patan-museum/full/shakyamuni_f.jpg

What we in the west commonly associate with Buddha is the "Laughing Buddha".

You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budai
