I have been playing CSS these 2 weeks and I am getting kicked out by every server i joined. It said my "ping is too high".....I get this not only in my own home...but my any friend's house and at school also....

any solution??

some people get high latency but really smooth gameplay due to proper rates

are u joining low ping games to start with? before u join a game, check the server ping. low = server is close to you. should join ping <100

If you can, try going to servers with <50 ping for the best or <100 should be good as well.I bought CSS anyways since it was only for $5. Pretty fun if you play once in a while.

counter-strike 1.6 is one of the best games I have played.:thumbsup: It is still fun to play once in awhile.

You should going into steam settings -> downloads and change the internet speed, it might help

You might be entering servers where the AMX_HPK is being set low enough that it's kicking your ping even if you're not lagging at all.

Try the above strategy and see what happens.

Type that into your console(`) and see if it does anything. Those numbers are off the top of my head. Ill let you know the real ones when I get home. Also monitor your actual in/out and choke by typing net_graph 1 in the console too.

I got it for $5 when it was on sale....best $5 i've ever spent!

I actually found CSS way more fun than MW1 or 2
And I like CSS with zombie mod more than L4D2
