forgot about this thread, shoulda added a summary lol.
basically the menaissance is about the guys become "retrosexual" and returning to the days where men were hardworking and confident, not the whiny and stupid men today who complain as much as women.

in the second vid, the guy claims that men need to stop serving women and meeting their every demands, and not let them use sex as leverage.

That's why you say no once in a while to your girl (even for intimate moments). Keep them guessing.

I understand where he's coming from and I agree with most of his points.

But, I always found the whole metrosexual thing a little contrived. The stereotypical ideal man of yore always took care of himself and... his appearance (in terms of how he dressed, his manners, etc.)

It's silly to think that men have to be told to take responsibility for themselves.

i actually think this is quite common. a lot of men need that maternal love and being told what to do.

It does seem like more men are folding to women's rules. There is a difference between being a good caring man and being a he-bitch and unfortunately we're seeing a greater rise of he-bitches. I don't understand how some men can respect themselves when their women tell them what they can and cannot do.

Such as? Leaving socks around the house? Wearing pyjamas to a restaurant?

Well one example is that there are more "stay at home dads" (which i think should have been mentioned in the vide). For one of my classes, my instructor's husband was a stay at home dad while she went to work to support the family.

And as he mentioned in media there are more men getting labelled as the "dumb dads" where mom needs to come in and fix everything. Just keep an eye out for some of the things you see on tv.

How many commercials or tv shows in general have you seen where "mom" is being the dumbass and "dad" needs to fix the problem?
Hell, the manliest person on tv is probably Hank Hill.
