Anyone take Gero 300 Distance Ed. before?

Was it easy? do you recommand it?

Is it mostly essay writing? (i'm really bad at essay)

btw the prof for the incomming semester is Habib Chaudhury,

anyone have him before? (Can't find any info about him at ratemyprof)

the course outline for GERO 300 will be...

does anyone know what kind of assignment is it going to be?


my options are to take SCI 300 or GERO 300, which one is easier?

most summer instructors are first time newbies. like students that just finished their PHD.

i think gerontology is restricted to people doing the degree.

gero 300 is not restricted to just gero degree (I'm Business).

i've taken it but not through Distance Ed.

It was pretty easy, 2 assignments, midterm, final, and very small project.

Same prof as well, lectures are pretty dry unfortunately.

Like sp00n mentioned above, the material is kinda boring. It's about aging and quite a bit of material to cover, but mostly memorization of statistics, terms and theories.

Taking it DE this semester. Not much to really do other than the 2 assignments and final.
Assignment #1 is a small project, different by prof.
Assignment #2 is a 10 page paper.

My friend took SCI 300 and she said it was fairly easy, there's a research paper in that class.

for gero 300 2nd assignment 10 page essay, can you briefly describe what is it about? I'm really a bad bad writer

and for the final, what is the format? is there an essay section in the final?

also, how's the format of research paper and final for SCI 300?


I'm taking one of them for my UD elective, so don't want it to be a nightmare

well i cant comment on the format of the Gero 300 essay since it is DE, but the SCI 300 research paper is 8-10 pages from a list of topics that you choose from.

I took SCI 300 during the summer with Dr.Canal, pretty nice guy, the course is pretty much a refresher course of high school science and math classes lol
