my family recently took out our cable subscription, but i'm wondering if ill still be able to get cbc without it?
am i wrong or did i hear before that u didn't need a subscription to a provider in order to get channel 3?
sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section.

Yes, you should be able to pick up at least 3 channels still.

No, you have to pay for this...this is 'basic cable'.

You can get CBC and CTV SD and HD, if you are using rabbit ears.. point the antenna Noth towards the North Shore mountains.

FYI CBC is channel 2 with ant.... you won't pick anything up on chan 3 with antena. should get about 6 channels with anteana. 3 or 4 in HD with a good one.

ya if your using an antenna you should be able to get cbc, as previously stated its channel two over the air. We used to have an antanna at my old work and we actually got a few channels with it, cbc, ctv, kvos, chek tv, and at least one other one too. CBC came in pretty good though

ota..go to digitalhome.ca...
i haven't had cable for 2-3 years ... well i had satellite when it was up... but i did create my own antenna...screw the youtube hanger antenna and read up on a better design (similar looking) and you'll be in for a surprise, especially living in vancouver..
I'm in surrey and i get cbc hd, global hd, ctv hd, city tv hd, omni hd/sd, kvos, and some analog...

go to your TV's menu (channel submenu) switch antenna from "CATV" to "AIR" and unplug the coax cable from the outlet you used to receive cable from....
