| Need Advice with Exhaust Flex Pipe
Hi guys
i have a G35 coupe and an aftermarket exhaust and cats.
my issues is that on my X pipe i keep scraping the flex pipe and cracking it
i'm wondering if i can just weld in a straight piece and forget the flex pipe.
here's a pic of my exhaust

I've had a few G35's come in with similar complaints. With some creative hanger changes I can pull it up about 1/2 an inch most of the time
If you don't run the flex pipe you will damage your manifolds/headers they usually end up cracked

or alteast more so than with aftermarket headers
