Anyone catch the first episode? SWAT vs. GSG9.

Not a bad episode but I don't like that they base the skills of the 2 people they picked to assess the skills of the whole. Who are these guys they are picking and how do they compare to other people of their squads. Who is to say they are of the top performers in their respective squads. I like the end game scenes though they are well performed.

One thing i dont like is that sometimes they have two completely different "challenges" for each weapon... I remember in one last season they had two grenades against each other.. One was thrown in a washing machine with dummies around it and the american one was thrown in an enclosed room with dummies. Obviously the one where the dummies are 2 feet from the grenade in an enclosed area is gonna do more damage.

they make a show of conducting these tests with some scientific basis but there's not proper scientific methodology in their testing. but i suppose they have to make a few concessions to make the show more interesting...

nevertheless, i have it as a series recordings on my PVR. :p
