By popular demand, we have a new chatbox on a trial basis for now.

RS Chat is available at the top of the main forum page (http://www.revscene.net/forums/), or you can view the full version here (http://www.revscene.net/forums/misc.php?do=cchatbox).

This is for occasional chatting only, we do not keep archives at all. It would be suitable for visiting during Canucks games, for instance.

We'll run it for a while, and see how it goes. Keep in mind that the same rules of the forum apply there, so you will be given points for infractions just as you would anywhere else. So don't bother flaming or posting NSFW links in there, please.

I will keep an eye on the server load, and if it is low enough I'll lower the refresh time. But remember this is just a hack of the forum to make it seem like a chatroom. It's not an actual chatroom.

This is a neat idea, but yeah, don't know how useful will it be. I can only picture it
being used during Canuck games. And even then, many people will rather just spam on
the Canucks' thread to boost the number of pages in that thread.
Goal is to hit 800 maybe this season. Feasible if Canucks make it to the cup finals. :D

i see what u mean. i was only hoping for scroll to be at the bottom when i load the page to see the most recent chats first. not auto scroll ( my wording on the first post was wrong sry)
i guess the most convenient for both of us is if the recent was at the top and ud have to scroll down to see past chats. but if it autoscrolls every few seconds i agree that its inconvenient to many.
