Home depot. go a couple hours before closing and do a 4 hour rental. They let you return it when they open the next morning.

$27=tax for 24hrs on the weekends, m-th you get it for 48hrs. Solution is about $13-26 depending on size

I tried renting one, and ended up paying somebody to do it. All the carpet cleaners I rented were broken, and I was tired of going back for another one.

Get a quote from a cleaning company after you figure out how much the rental+ solution+ time is. A lot of times the difference is negligable and you won't have to do all the lugging around, dumping dirty water, etc.

a tip for those who want to save .
go to HD, or Rona, and rent the carpet cleaner 1 hour before closing. basically the 4 hour rate = whole night till 9am next morning (opening hour)
THATS if your neighbors don't mind the sound.
oh, btw, those things are pretty dirty. When i worked at tool rentals all we did was spray a bit of disinfectant on the outside of the machine... and then just dumped the dirty water out to be placed back on shelf ..lol

that's not true.
you could pay with cash or interact as well.
however, they do require two(?) pieces of ID.
you can use your credit card, driver liscene, etc.
