Doesn't pre-collection not apply to food etc because they're not services rendered "after July 1". Its stuff like airplane tickets, seasons tickets, concert tickets, house transactions that will occur AFTER July 1?

In the other thread, the article summarizes for you what this pre-collection period means.
""Any HST-applicable goods and services that you pay for in advance, but which you will not take delivery of until July 1 or later, will be subject to the new 12-per-cent tax starting May 1."
