Anyone know what was going on at the shoppers parking lot 7pm ish?

I was driving East bound on Cambie, Just passing no 4 rd, and two cops were ripping east bound. then I drove past Shell rd, and a few more were coming up Shell rd, and then turned East on cambie, while two other police cars were roadblocking the shell rd highway 99 exit northbound, then as I proceeded to drive farther east on cambie, I saw about 6 cars and police dogs at the shoppers parking lot, many circling the area, and more booking it towards knight st area..

Seems like alot of cops for something small... must be something major.. but nothing on the news.

I'm not quite sure on the story, pretty much when the cop talked to me, he asked about a red honda (almost shat my pants on this one cause my car is red)

Then I asked what kind, he replied a 4 door, which didn't really narrow it down.

Shortly after he mentioned a black male taking off in one. That was about it

Walked up to this Asian guy in a 7 series parked there and asked him to roll down the window. The Asian dude had this shitting his pants look on his face and he was at his window for a good minute or so.

Southbound on 3road and new westminster, where the mario gelato's place is. Traffic cops pulling over any modified cars there on sunny summer days. Try to avoid that area for the cops and the 3 road hassle itself.

seems like a lot of shit has been going down, from what i've been reading, there's been cops all over richmond, in random areas. either a lot has been going on, or the one thing that happened with the black guy is so major that they're digging everywhere to get him out

havn't heard anything in the news yet though
