Any witnesses to an accident involving a grey Corolla and a white RX350?

Was driving on the left lane when the RX350 comes out of the plaza parking lot on the right (I think it was Boston Pizza- Not sure) and turned into me.

I'm scared ICBC might somehow pin this on me so looking for witnesses.

Please PM if you saw the accident.

How will ICBC pin this againts you? It was your right of way, it's that girls 100% fault.

nothing wrong with looking for witnesses.
it only makes your case stronger

Don't worry about it. It's their fault. You had the right of way.
I like how 1exotic automatically assumes it's a C-Lai.

I hope you took photos though.

Either there's more to this story, or you're 100% safe.
You had the right of way, the other driver came out of a plaza
and hit you. I'm not sure how the other side would defend their case.

Which part of your car got hit? and which part of theirs got hit?

It's as asian_xl says, I'd like to have a strong case in the case that ICBC tries to pull a 50-50 at fault out of nowhere. (which they love to do)

I took photos. But it's kinda difficult to see what actually occurred on the photo.

The girl admitted that she didn't see me and only saw the bus on the right lane. I believe she was trying to turn out and quickly avoid the bus by turning into the left lane.

See the pictures for parts that got hit.

As you can see, I tried to avoid and half of my car is on the island already.

The annoying part is that this is a courtesy car too. =/

But yes- If there are any witnesses- A PM would be lovely. =]

damn i hate the stretch of number 3, so narrow and always plagued by crazy asian ladies in huge suvs swerving in and out of the side streets.

I can't see how ICBC would rule 50/50 anyway in the pic you clearly have the right of way and it is evident the suv swervied unto you

get witness cuz if the lady say u were doing a lane change, ICBC will go 50-50 fault.

^ I couldn't have been lane changing because there was a bus on the right lane that was at least 5-6 cars distance from where I got hit. Problem is I have no evidence proving what happened since all the cars just left before I could even stop them.

Nay- bus driver went drove away quickly. =/ It's Richmond- I don't expect people to stop and be helpful. If anything, people were shouting @ us to get out of the way.

I hope your case will work out in your favour, as it should.

What the other driver said/admitted to you means absolutely nothing to ICBC (unless you happened to record it) cuz they say it shortly after the accident when they're scared. Once they calm down, they may or may not admit it to ICBC, depending if s/he is honest or not.

I've been screwed before where someone backed into me. At the time, he said "I didn't see you", but then he said to ICBC that I drove into him! :flamemad:

i dont see how it would be 50/50 it should be all the lexus fault because when you make a turn youre suppose to enter the lane closest to you not the second out. anyways goodluck!

Werd. People need to learn how to fuckin' drive. There were numerous times when people like the Lexus driver turn into my lane instead of the proper lane and I had to hard brake to avoid hitting them.

always have a video/camera phone and start recording without making it obvious. i did that when somebody backedup into me. so i had our whole conversation on video/voice admitting that she was at fault. its better than going after witnesses.

dont think icbc will nail u, as she is coming out , even if u were changing lanes. (its ur right to do so) she has to make sure its clear to leave the parking lot.

Just met with adjuster today.

The girl called in and admit that she's at fault- I appreciate the fact that she was honest.

So no deductible to pay for me.

EDIT: sorry didn't read the entire thread

BUT STILL

if you really wanted to, you could possibly give translink a call with the exact time and location of where you were. All their busses are now tracked with GPS, and a regular schedule means that there are high chances of tracking which bus was where (since bus numbers are assigned to routes on a daily basis)

Anyhow, congrats dude I love it when people admit their fault.

Hahaha no she isn't. Plus I saw her car this morning and although I didn't look at it closely, it appears to be ok.

If I were her, I'd lie my ass off and say we were both going straight, and you changed lanes into me!

If she was coming out of a plaza/parking lot/small alley road it will 100% her fault. Regardless if you were speeding, lane changing, she has to approach with caution. Just make sure you tell icbc that she was coming out of a plaza and tuening into the lane farthest away from her.

i think richmond would work better if it was mandatory to drive around in bumper cars. then driving in richmond would be fun.
