So they basically did a commercial for a pop song within the episode?

Can't say that I am missing much... I stopped watching Simpsons a few seasons ago. Actually that was even 5 years too late, they jumped the shark a long, long time ago.

thats why Futurama was so great because there were so many new ideas that could be used by the same writers in a different scenario
