1993 Mazda 323 Hatch with a MX3 K8 1.8L V6 Drivetrain conversion
The conversion was completed several years ago (professionally @ www.fireandfuel.ca) and has proven to be an extremely reliable, fun and economical daily driver for myself since 2007.
- 1.8L 24Valve V6 (265000km on rebuild/swap)
- 5speed manual transmission
(both from a 1992 MX3 Precida, this is almost a bolt in swap)
- Front and Rear Disc Brakes,
- Lowered with Stiffer than stock springs/shocks
- Rear Subframe Brace
- Remounted battery in the trunk with Battery Disconnect Switch
- 0.5 Farad Capacitor mounted under hood to help stabilize charging voltage.
- A-Piller gauge pod with Coolant and Oil pressure
- Voltage gauge in center console
- High Performance Electric Rad Fan
- Aluminum Underdrive Crank Pulley
- Red Top optima battery
- Alpine CD Deck.
Aircared until 2011 with Brand new Catalytic Converter and High flow Exhaust
Lots of recent Maintenance and gets excellent mileage, 7-9L/100km's depending on Driving Habits
Recent Maintenance work completed:
- Cross-drilled/slotted Front and Rear Rotors with Ceramic pads.
- New Timing Belt, Idler Pullies and tensioner bearings
- Water pump
- Spark plugs
- Distributor Cap & rotor
- Coolant temp sensors
- New vacuum lines
- Cleaned the intake plenum and throttle body
- New Air filter
- Two new Oxygen sensors
- New Catalytic Converters
- Timing was checked/adjusted
- Engine oil & Filter
- Transmission fluid
- Brake fluid
- Air Filter
Interior:
- Sound Deadened with B-Quiet Extreme (front doors, rear 1/4 panels, trunk, etc) *Nice quiet drive*

It would cost at least 4500 to replicate using the same parts plus labour to build this car again.
