Skip Tracing

Hey Guys,

I saw this ad for a job posting about "skip tracing", i went on their website and it really didnt show much of a description of the job. The pay is pretty good and im planning to switch up the job that i have now. Does anybody know much about this? or better yet has anyone worked for them? what can i expect from these guys. Any more knowledge is welcomed, thanks in advance!

skip tracers can do anything from locating someone to collect a debt all the way to finding someone to collect an inheritance or something.

Its basically a "skill" that someone has to go out and find a particular person whos whereabouts are unknown. The list for this can obviously get super long...

Yea. When I worked collections our tracers would call old numbers, talk to family, friends, basically do whatever they can to track them down.

Hmmm sounds interesting, I guess the best way to find out is applying and seeing how I like it from there -.-, do u guys know if I get comission upon finding the person I'm looking for? On the job description it says its 16dollars an hour but says I can make upwards to 50000 a year. Interesting, any other feedback would be nice guys

not only do you have to find them, you have to make them pay, only when they pay will you get a piece of the commission.

It would be interesting to see how you could use Facebook as a tool for this kind of job. I use it a lot for investigating potential fraudulent orders

I've used FB before when having to verify people aswell. I can't see it being too useful in this situation because you already know the person exists, so you either have to send them an email and hope they respond, or hope they are one of those people that list phone numbers, employers, etc.

so it's almost like bounty hunting but not as cool.

I'm guessing the company you work for provides you as much information they have on the target as possible?

this sounds kinda fun actually.
