: Good Eats near a Canada Line Station

I work near the yaletown-roundhouse Canada Line station and was wondering if anyone knows of any good and reasonably priced (this is key) places to go that can be had with just a hop on the Line ...

I know there is a Pho place near the Broadway one with a Taiwanese noodle place next door as well, I'm looking for places more in Vancouver since going to say Aberdeen would take most of the lunch hour ...

Any recommendations would be great ...

He wants the names of places.

Depends what you want dude. Here's a small list of reasonably priced stuff.

- Mcdonalds (beside London Drugs)
- Wendys
- Pizza Joint
- Pho
- E-Sushi which is on Cambie beside Save On Foods has decent enough sushi. It's one of those quick stop sushi places with quite a few cheap sushi combos
- Hot Dog stand in front of Best Buy
- Cactus Club
- I Cafe is an option too it's just 2 blocks west of Cambie and Broadway
- City Square food court could be an option if you want

There's more but I'll leave you with this for now.

Depends on the cuisine...
there are several affordable jap restaurants near roundhouse...
also, there's an awesome mexican restaurant on pacific blvd.

I'm looking for something cheap and good but not western fast food, ideally a wonton noodle place or pho place that's not downtown prices ...

I tried the Sha Lin Noodle House last week on Broadway half a block west of the station, it was okay, I wasn't that impressed with the noodles but the price is reasonable ... I read Peaceful Restaurant is better so I might try that place next ...

Whats the name of the mexican place, I might go try it out ... I'm trying to save money so I'm limiting my eating out for lunch to once a week ...

If you're in Yaletown, look no further than Salsa & Agave!

The tacos are priced at $2.25 each, or you can get 4 for $8. I ordered, from left to right. Carne Asada (grilled beef)
Pastor (pork in red spice sauce)
? I forgot.. can’t remember if it’s Chorizo or Carnitas.
Rajas Con Crema (poblano peppers, sour cream, cheese & corn)

I live in Richmond so I know there are tons of places to go there but the fact that it takes about 20 mins 1 way to get there really leaves me no time to eat ...

Have you tried Yopo on Homer yet?

Funny enough thats the only place I usually go to if I can't find a place to eat or if I just want something quick ... the prices are a bit higher since its a Yaletown joint than normal Chinese restos ... I recommend them though

I do bring lunch to work but like how people have a "casual friday" in their work place, I allocated myself 1 day a week to go out and eat ...

errr...follow your co-workers to where they eat?

and how much is reasonable?
Honjin Sushi (on Davie, across the street from Urban Fair) have quality Jap food and their lunch sets start at around $10. It might be good to get take out and eat outside, and save the $2 on tip...

Right across the street from the Yaletown-Roundhouse station is a great sushi place called Sushi Maro

Omg that place is horrible!! Great prices for sushi sets but that's just it..cheap prices.

Chez Faye is a great cafe for soups+sandwiches and their pastas are great too. Everything is made in house and decent prices for YT. Owner is super friendly and will remember what you like for your meals.

Honjin has some good lunch specials, for 10 to 13 bucks.

Scuie is great for thei pizzas and Urban Fare has a wide selection of food. I'm a fan of their italian rotissiere chicken as well!

YT has a lot of restaurants available but can get repetitive over time. If you want asian I'd suggest taking a short walk to china town. YT to CT only takes about 15 minutes.

OR you can walk up to robson and cambie to ezogiku noodles..or next noodle bar a couple blocks up.
