| FS-1991 Miata Turbo
So its come time for me to part with my Miata. I hate to sell this car as I have really enjoyed it all the years I have owned it, but I need the money now for my business. Some details on the car-Its a late 91 so it has the long nose crank motor so no worries there, its a special edition so is painted british racing green, the paint on this car being about 5 years old. It was done properly with the car totally dismantled for paint, and painted in PPG base/clear instead of the original single stage. At that time the badges were all shaved. It has the tan leather interior with power windows, no rips, tears, or holes in the leather but does show some signs of wear on the drivers bolster. It has a momo steering wheel on a momo hub, the horn button has the old school mazda logo on it. Has the polished vent rings, moss motors shift knob and ebrake handle (still have the original wood ones too), leather boots for shifter and ebrake, and leather wrap on the console lid. It came with the factory CD player, and will come with a panasonic CD player if you want it.
As for under the hood, this car is set up with the Greddy turbo kit, although not much of that still remains. It has a narrower than stock 3 core rad, I think it was built from a civic core if I recall, that allows the intercooler to sit beside the radiator for short intercooler piping. The intercooler was originally a dodge daytona I believe. I didn't want a front mount as they have too much boost lag. It has the vortec rising rate fuel pressure regulator for fuel. It has an MSD boost timing controller to retard the timing under boost. When I installed the turbo I also did the timing belt, water pump and front engine seal. The exhaust is a Goodwin Racing 2.25 stainless exhaust.
For other extras it has 17" wheels (need new tires though), can come with a set of lowering springs, clear corner lights, JBL GTO speakers in the doors, and 2 JL Audio 3.5 speakers in each seat. Probably other stuff I forgot too. Price is now $5800
Here is the one picture I have right now, can get more if wanted. Can reduce the price without some of the accessories, like the momo wheels, the 17's etc. Also just remembered, there is a waterproof car cover for it, the rear axles are new, both inner and outer shift boots on the transmission are new, and the timing belt tensioner was replaced at the same time as the timing belt.

What I mean is that I bought the greddy kit, but then I replaced a lot of the parts it came with. The greddy kit is not intercooled. This one is setup with an intercooler and a different intake than the standard setup. The only greddy parts remaining are the manifold, the turbo itself, and the fuel pressure regulator.

What kind of power does that turbo add to it? Posted via RS Mobile |

Its set at 8lbs of boost right now, and I estimate based on other Miatas with the same turbo and similar mods that it would do 150-160hp at the wheels on a dyno. I have never dynoed it personally. It does completely change the car though, stock they handle real nice but are kinda slow. With the turbo you no longer look up at a light and realize the minivan next to you is going faster than you are.
