So tonight I was shooting photos with my brother out in Richmond, we just left the Richmond Oval and was stopped at a red light. Suddenly I got hit from behind and get pushed out into the intersection like 15-20 feet. Luckily nobody was crossing the intersection cause I would of been t-boned. The 2 guys who hit me admitted they weren't paying attention. Grrr my poor Volvo =(

yeah the Accord didn't show a lot of damage considering how hard they hit me. Both their airbags deployed and their horn wouldn't turn off until they disconnected the battery or something. They didn't even ask if we were ok...or check if we were alive. What chokes me is some car behind them drove off after the accident like they didn't want to be involved as witnesses. I dunno but if you saw a car get hit like that and pushed that far out in the intersection, its common courtesy to stop and check if everyone is alright!$# /rant

I was beyond shocked when I got out to inspect the damage, there was no damage whatsoever. The old Jags were built like tanks but drove like tanks as well.

Kind of makes sense about the damage... the bumper bar is closer to the front of the car on the accord and it's farther forward in the rear of the volvo. All that's crumpled on the volvo really isn't that strong, and the damage was probably nearly all done by the actual bumper bar of the accord.

That said, glad you're okay man. Stuff like this is just a real annoyance if you're okay. It's really all that matters.

The passenger of the Jag would be in much worse shape than the passenger in the VW if it was a more serious accidents. There's a reason why new cars crumble must easier than old cars, not because of cost cuts, but for safety reasons.

yeah I'm pretty sure they would of or tboned someone driving through the intersection. I was looking at my bro's photos and I didn't see skid marks from his car so they probably hit me without slamming on the brakes.

if you haven't seen icbc yet, you should go see them, see your doctor, etc. ICBC will give you 12 treatments of your doctor or your choice for 8 weeks starting on the day of your accident. ICBC will subsidize a portion of the treatments and you will be left to pay the remaining amount. If you get a lawyer, they might help you pay for your treatments initially so you won't have to pay up front. Hope you feel better soon.

yeah I talked to a lawyer today already, thanks for your advice guys. I've already went to the doctor, talked to the lawyer, made an ICBC claim, and arranged the car to be towed to a garage to get it checked out. I also saved some ads showing how much it would be to replace my car with a similar year model so I think all I can do is wait right now till an adjuster calls me.

this all happened when a truck in front of us dropped the couch in a really dark freeway with no lights around 10pm, it was a black leather couch too which made it harder to see... fkin douche didnt even stop
