If it's strictly for rewards, nothing beats Superstore's 3.5¢/L or whatever it is now Superbucks rebate.

Esso giftcards are what i get. Use it for gas/store purchases.
Starting to use aeroplan at esso, but it takes forever to collect enough points to earn anything good.

I just use my Save-On card at Chevron and redeem for free milk and eggs when I go to Save-On, comes in handy for me since I go thru 8L of milk and 36-40 eggs a week.

Petro-Canada for Petro points - they sent me a trial Fuel Savings Reward card for 5 cents off/litre ^__^
Husky because of the $2 coupon
I used to go to Chevron a lot, but Save-on-More is pointless, so there's not a lot of incentive to fill up there, other than Techron. Does anyone know if there's still "Tactrol" in Petro-Canada gas? They used to market it but I've heard less about it now.

1800 points gets you $10 at Esso, 1 point per dollar spent. You can also use your aeroplan card at 1 point for 3 dollars spent.

Back in the days when PC, petro, unaltered Sears reward was all hooked up, it was worth more than 4% reward with double dipping. Now it's down to 1%. Blah!
I guess smartcash MC (3% cashback) plus a reward card for any gas station would suffice.

I think I might start gassing up at superstore since the rebate looks pretty damn good.

If you want the best rewards program it would be husky at the moment.
with the $2 off coupon and if you have the husky credit card you get 2% back on all purchases...
otherwise it would be petro points imo. then esso.
so just apply for Husky's mastercard, get the 2% back and use the $2 off coupon valid until the end of the year.
their gas is okay? i'm not really sure who has the best gas. I think chevron does, then shell, then petro, esso/husky/mohawk are the lesser of them all?

There's not much difference in gas. 91 Chevron is no better or worse than 91 Esso. Shell has had problems with there gas before causing fuel gauges malfunction but they have fixed that problem.

Exchange Petro Points to Asia Miles ;)
Their limitation on amount of available economy class seats makes it a pain to redeem points. Unless you use 2x amount for business class or 3x amount for 1st class.

They are Omega3 eggs, and no its not too much eggs, common misconception about dietary cholesterol, but thats a convo for the fitness or health forum.
Anyways, I like Chevron cause I use their 94 and add Save-On points for groceries.

Exchange Petro Points to Asia Miles ;)
I looked up the conversion as your post made me very interested.
10,000 Petro Points converts to 1,000 Asia Miles. It will take 600,000 Petro Points to get a ticket to HK. That's a lot of gasoline, haha!
My family primarily fills up at Chevron, and we all have linked Save-On Points card. We just collect the points in hopes that it can accumulate to something, haha.

I usually use Shell for Air Miles, cause they're a more common point system that I can rack up on.
But however... I usually still fill up at Chevron cause I trust their gas more... I'll agree that their Save on points are shit though.

I have Esso and Petro too. But I use Esso like 99% now for aeroplan points.
The only reason I would still go Petro is because they're more conveniently located.
Although if I remember to check my fuel gauge, I'll never be stranded and need to rely on Petro.

You should get a credit card that gives you Aeroplan points that way you can double up.

Holy crap... 15¢ for using the PC Mastercard? Well, I've never seen that here... so unless it's something that started just in the last week or two.
But for the regular 7.5¢ or whatever it is, everyone gets it... no membership or anything required.
So for a 40L fillup, that's a $3 instant rebate to use on groceries.

Use husky $2 off coupon for 25L. Then used MBNA smart cash Cc for payment
say u buy 25L @ 115 = 28.75 - 2 = 26.75 - 3% cash back (0.80) = 25.95/25L = 1.038/L
that's 11.2 cents off per litre

You are right! It's almost impossible to earn 600,000 points but if you fly to Asia regularly, those converted points are very useful. Always fill out the service hero survey online after each fill up. That's 200 points each and can be done in less than five minutes. I also joined the focus group survey and that's 1000 points for each completion. Petro Canada only emails the focus group surveys a few times a year and it's a bit hard to collect those extra points. I fill up about 360L of 91 octane fuel every month on both cars and that's 3600 Petro Points. Other than that, I play lottery. During the special promotion, a $10 ticket worth 300 points. I usually collect another 1000 points from lottery purchases. Earning 5000+ points a month is easy. I earned over 65,000 points in 2009 and that's good for 6,500 Asia Miles. A round trip Vancouver to HK Cathay Pacific flight can earn 12,762 Asia Miles. Converting those Petro Points to Asia Miles is about the same as collecting miles for one way to HK flight. Compare to the fuel saving card, isn't coverting the Petro Points to Asia Miles a better deal?

Chevron's save on point system is $1 for only 1 point or something? Last night I checked I had about 1,5xx. I swear that's at least I've spent on the gas over the years ROFL. Fcking cheapasses. Sucks Petro doesn't have 94.
