What are the pros and cons for each?

i personally like PC because i have it ... tried a mac couple times but never got use to it

PC VS Mac is like Pussy VS dick. One is not better than the other, it's just personal preference. For me I prefer pussy ~.^

For me i perfer PC. Due to the customization you can do to your desktop. Tremendous amount of games i can play. *cough* Free software *cough* Able to upgrade parts without spending x10 amount of money for almost the same parts as mac. Can have up to 4 to 8TB of hard drive for storage and not having to spend an arm or a leg for external apple storage devices. Able to Overclock and mod for better cooling system.

Pc = A real man machine

I do admit Mac got some nice and neat product, but when it come to what i do with what. I prefer my PC. Only thing i love about mac is their screen quality =)

I use both a Mac and a PC. I prefer the Mac for browsing the web, watching movies, editing pictures and that's about it. I use the PC for everything else.

If I had the choice of only one computer I would use a PC for sure, just for upgrade purposes alone it's worth it. Best thing about Mac is probably the customer support though, haha.

they're keyboard along with everything else is very pretty. I have to admit i love it but the normal pc style keyboard is much more comfortable and efficient.

Although i like the function for their new mouse, it's so not ergonomically comfortable. The thing is a PITA after 5 mins using it, again looks sweet but poor comfort and horrible glide smoothness. Im also not a fan of the pointer acceleration (or shall i say deceleration) on macs.

One thing I do adore about macs though, is their Cinema HD displays. Holy shit.

The stupid thing with this whole argument is that that ISN'T necessarily a PC - you could probably install OSX on it. In fact, for all you know, it DOES have OSX on it, either dual-booting Windoze, or running Windoze in a virtual session using Fusion or Parallels.

The stupider thing is that for eveyone who whinges about Mac machines being "more expensive" than PCs... just think about what that bad-boy machine cost to put together. :facepalm:

Especially since both use the same hardware anymore. It's not "Mac vs. PC" and hasn't been for years; it's OSX vs. Windows, and the only person whose opinion matters is person using the computer.

I think a fair non-hater/non-fanboy comparison would be a Mac being like an AM V8 and a PC being like a ZR-1.
The AM V8 looks more than great, and does everything well, but is not the pinnacle of performance or innovation.
The ZR-1 is cheap, and it performs better. It is the best bang for the buck, hands down.
