Don't expect too much from this movie as the "Shrek" franchise has probably come to its end with this one. (This movie is just a followup movie of what happens after the Happily Ever After in Shrek 3. What next? Shrek 5: The Kids in Ogre School? Shrek 6: The Midlife Crisis? )

Definitely not as good as the prequels but watch it for the infamously cute begging Puss in Boots. Other than that, all the "True Love's Kiss" thing has pretty much carried on from the first and second movie. With a very predictable ending too, much like the second one actually.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable movie for people of all ages. Funny in its usual Shrek ways, and in some unusual alternate-dimension Shrek ways as well.

I will give it an abundantly fair rating of 7/10.

The trailer seemed boring to me. That's a bad sign.
Part 3 seemed to have gone downhill. Part 2 probably wasn't better than part 1.
So the pattern seems to be that the sequel gets worst.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll leave this one as a rental or online stream.

I kinda find this movie unnecessary. It's like squeezing another story out of the main trilogy. It's alright funny but it's WAY too short. Entertaining while it lasted, but leave no lasting impression.
