uh have you travelled much?

you've misunderstood me.

I know hk and other places are more crazy with cell phones than america.

I was just implying that this picture was only a summary of AMERICA.

As you can see from above, he typed "WORLD" and I changed it to "AMERICA" cause the picture only provides details about america.

That's actually a incorrect fix right there. All countrys have pay as you go phones and most people use those instead of a house phone. I found that out when I went to the domminican and jamaica. Its actually reall cheap to have a cell down there and even workers in the field have them. The cell coverage is better then ours as well.

I just know that 10 years ago finding good porn was like treasure hunting, and I would keep some files saved like a gem. Now I've got about 4 or 5 devices where I can stream free top quality porn.

Hah.

I bet you didn't even use google back then (not nitpicking - it's funnAy). I remember searching for porn on Altavista and Lycos. You also didn't have the convenience of image searching. There was nothing worse than waiting for some slowass page on dialup, only to be hit with disappointing boobage or poon.

its absolutely unreal how fast times are changing. 10 years. it seems like things like the internet and facebook and cellphones and DVDs have been around 'forever'. but FB has only been popular for 4 years, the internet and cellphones for about 15, DVDs maybe 10?

not to mention how many times do we google earth a camping spot or store? order something online? download movies? play online XBOX. things everybody absolutely take for granted are still ridiculously new.

^^ my mom has been saying that for ages. it's true.

"i used to have to use an outhouse, and my family was the only one in the neighbourhood with a TV"

in 50 years, look what has changed. it is hard to predict what life will be like 50 years from now. we prolly can't even imagine what the world will be like.

^ technology grows exponentially..i won't be surprise if we'll be nearing the limits in a few decades...and from thereon the advancements gaps will slowly shrink

i remember my socials teacher in hs said our kids generation will probably not have all that much better quality of life compared to our generation..but the gap between our generation and our parents generation is pretty wide.

Advancement will never stop. The development of quantum physics, free energy, nanotechnology, anti-gravity etc etc
If technology does indeed grows exponentially, the next 10 years will be even more intense. Who knows maybe I will get to live in space before I die in 50 years.

My great grandmother said that to me a few years ago. She died this year at age 101. She was born shortly after the Wright brothers first flew an "airplane"! Can't imagine what the world will look like if I make it to 101.

If we don't completely destroy ourselves or the planet by then.

no way, we're just starting.

only a fraction of the ppl on earth actually get highly educated.

Imagine the number of engineers and research scientists China and India can potentially pump out.

I'm hoping mankind can move beyond money by then

I watch a lot of Star Trek and the one quote that stuck with me the most is from Picard

"A lot has changed in three hundred years. People are no longer obsessed with the accumulation of "things". We have eliminated hunger, want, the need for possessions. We have grown out of our infancy."
