Thought I'd share this..
I am a fan of Anthony Bourdain, so in order to give this post some context, watch this clip..

Slowly Hand Turning the Pig that's been slaughtered in the morning? Slowly rubbed with Coconut water and stuffed with Indonesian Spices?
Wow.
So, naturally, after seeing that clip, I had to fly to Bali and try what Anthony Bourdain said to be the best roast pig he's ever had.
I wasn't dissapointed.
I was so happy to find the place...

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_RlBlRdp4hCE/S_177vg2c3I/AAAAAAAAEKw/Or4KcnUDjQ8/s640/IMG_5903.JPG
The Balinese spices and flavors were definitely the best. I'll never forget how it tasted.

Solid 10/10. Price for meal? 350,000 Indonesia Rupees... (about $3.50CAD).
Epic meal... The place is soooo good. If you ever make a stop in Bali, be sure to try it.

No, no tour guide.. I hate that crap. Just rented a car and brought a guidebook:thumbsup:. Sometimes its fun when you try to communicate with someone who doesn't have a damn clue about what you're saying. Usually you can find someone who speaks English, since there is a lot of tourism on the island.
Odd question but are you Chinese?

also LiquidTurbo, your first post should have been 35,000 Rupiah, not 350,000, since 350,000 = $40 cad roughly
Did you try "Nuri Ribs" ? it's said to be the best ribs ever...

this was back in 1998 but in Java, they are a bit more open now. Bali on the other hand has always been somehow a safe sanctuary for the Chinese Indonesians.
