If she really wants an ipod but you're not too keen on it, get her a gift card (as stated previously) to Oakridge or Pacific Centre (where the Apple Stores are) and load it up to the value of an iPod.

Then let her decide. If she decides to get the iPod you'll totally out-do the other sister's bf because you kind of got what she wanted, but if she wants to have general merchandise from the malls too then shes happy as well. Good Luck.
