Well seeing as the cars are just in the background w/ drivers not driving them, I would say they probably prefer visual mods to sleeper. That being said, if you have a stock skyline, or rx7 or something, I'm sure they would appreciate that though. I doubt they have much car knowledge, but I'm getting as many pictures as I can for them, so feel free to post :)

UPDATE
Just got back to me on my first e-mail containing all the pictures I had up until this morning.

Out of all the ones I sent, only about 16 were chosen for consideration. A lot of very clean cars are not being considered due to being too light or too dark, because they would not work with the camera.

I will PM the members who are being taken for consideration tomorrow.
There are two options
a. Background show car. Your car just sits in the background, and you will likely just hang out in the crowd watching the races. This will pay $300-400 depending on how many cars show up.

b. Race Car. If you want to give them permission to race your car, and during filming they choose your car, they will pay $1000. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS. But, if you want to let someone dirve your car, it is a professional stunt driver, and it will be fully insured, if anything happens to your car, they are responsible and will pay for the damages. If you volunteer to let them use your car, it isn't garunteed they will, and you will only get $1000 if they call on you, if not you will get the 300-400 like everyone else.

Filming should take only one day, but might stretch to two. Tomorrow is when they are organizing and will determine what day/hours they will shoot on.

We want the cool paint jobs, spoilers/wings, brighter colors, body lighting, super sound systems/boxes...anything that oozes street rod/drifter.

If we race it it's 1000.00 and for background it'll be about 300-400 depending on the number of cars and types.

I talked to him on the phone, he is also looking for crazy sound systems, any pics would be great.

I will send this update to all the members who are being considered, though only 5-6 will be called to come out from the forum, as they have contacted people elsewhere to appear already.

Due to policy they must hav etheir stunt drivers drive. Insurance is full coverage so if they crash, or fuck something up the insurance pays for it.

If someone does want to have their car considered to race, it doesn't mean that it will race, the director will have a list come shooting and will pick then who races from those who have volunteered. They already have a few cars racing from other places, but he said they're hoping to have a few others. I was also going to call him to figure out if the races are done at full speed or not.

Sending last batch of pictures I have tomorrow morning, I will cut it off at say 7am. Out of the 16 people picked so far, as well as the 13-15 others I'm sending in tomorrow, they are going to pick 5-7 cars. I thought it would be cool to just get everyone interested out, maybe make a meet out of it. Though nobody would get paid for it but it would be pretty fun. I guess their bugdet only goes so far, but the scene would look better with 50+ cars.

I was talking to the props guy and they have a few drifter guys coming in for racing, shoudl be fun.
