Being from Richmond we always took advantage of the cheap RPM takeout (4 tins for $20 or less), are there any really cheap options like that to take advantage of? And how much would I expect to spend?

You do realize that it's spelt "Yaohan" and that it's in Richmond, right? The OP was asking for a place in Burnaby.

crystal was pretty unimpressive, can't believe there aren't that many options in burnaby for this sort of chinese takeout

I'm a big fan of Double one on hastings 3 stores down from where the scotiabank. Sorry I dont know the cross street but it's a couple blocks away from willingdon. The lunch specials are awesome and the food is darn good.

North Burnaby Wonton House or whatever it's called, on Hastings right down the street from the DQ and Safeway. I usually get the $7.95 dinner for one and it takes me 2-3 days to finish it.

This place is also Buble's asian hangout. Saw him there once.

Not really racist!

Keep them coming?

I just moved back to burnaby last week, and I'm already feeling a bit isolated from everything.
There's like no good eating places around me.

I was living on victoria and kingsway for the last little while.
It was like foodie paradise, 5 mins ride west and you've got hawkers, 5 mins north, and you've got the cheese hole (do the translation ;)).
