: How long does it take for new springs to settle?

I recently installed some new coilovers and would like to know how long it takes for the springs to settle. I don't want to get an alignment now, only to adjust my ride height again in the near future, then have to get another alignment.

I have little to no preload, and this is a daily driven car.

I'm not going to wait THAT long. A couple weeks max. Besides, my spares are on right now.

Springs don't settle. If there is any "settling" that occurs, it's from all the components seating into place, which should happen after a short drive, and that's my experience with strut/spring setups.

I would adjust your coilovers to your exact liking then immediately take it in for alignment once your satisfied.

actually surrey roads are much better than vancouver east or mainstreet. Try driving there with a lowered car.

i remember driving on kingsway between boundary and metrotown, i was dodging potholes and manhole covers.
