I agree with everything this guy said, especially the diet and drug part.

Americans, I have some bad news for you:

You have the worst quality of life in the developed world – by a wide margin.

If you had any idea of how people really lived in Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and many parts of Asia, you’d be rioting in the streets calling for a better life. In fact, the average Australian or Singaporean taxi driver has a much better standard of living than the typical American white-collar worker.

I know this because I am an American, and I escaped from the prison you call home...

what really got me was that he mentioned how much post secondary school costs, that in other countries post secondary is MUCH more cheaper

persuasive but he makes other countries sound like solid gold when they aren't, doesn't mention the slums, doesn't mention the fact that they can hardly feed themselves even tho they're debt free
plus he points out all the negatives in the US, makes them sound super bad, then doesn't point out the positives, job opportunities? huge market? expensive but most respected schools? wonder where this guy lived in the states...

its late, finish reading this in the morning

hmm post secondary here costs about 4000-7000/year x 2-6 years depending on what u want.

yeah about 25k for a standard degree over the span of 4years which isn't too hard to pay for half of it during ur degree. Education is definitely overpriced. Some lectures worth so much more than others tho. i think university is worth it even if you don't make it to the end.

I have a lot of friends and family living in the US and they are all "average" in that they work normal jobs (no wealthy doctors/lawyers and no low income McDonald's employees) have modest homes and so on.

And they are all doing quite well. They live comfortable lives, they're not going to go broke if someone in their family gets severely ill, they have put aside money for their kids schooling and they are all healthy.

I guess I should send them all this article so they can realize just how shitty they have it.
