On Wed and Thurs!!

They changed the format this season. Instead of a top 20 they have a top 10. They also have 10 favourites from previous seasons making up the other half of the top 10 but they arent competing.

Also Alex Wong (from Vancouver) had a pretty sick solo, hope he makes it through!!!

Love seeing Anya back...I thought she was one of the hottest chicks on the show ever. She looks like she got a bit...thicker, though but that blonde hair is fire!

Good to see Mia Michaels and Wade Robson back as well. Last season I thought was the worst (although I had one of my favorite routines of all seven seasons...Travis Wall's Your Ex-Lover is Dead) since most of the truly special choreographers weren't involved. I recognized tonight's opener as a Wade Robson number immediately as it has so many of his signature moves.

It's not the best performance I've ever seen on the show. IMO, in terms of contemporary dance numbers, the cancer one from season 5 is superior as is the quasi-pas de deux by Will and Katie in season 4 and a number of other pieces as well. However, Alex and Allison (who was my favorite girl from season 2) were amazing in it. Alex is in the league of Will, Danny and Travis in terms of male dancers on the show. Billy Bell is in there as well. The guys are far stronger than the girls this year...by a lot.

But I feel that certain pieces get votes based on the power of the music behind them. How on earth are you going to go wrong with a piece set to Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah, one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written (even better than the Leonard Cohen version).

I'm surprised the producers of the show didn't see the obvious flaw in this system of voting. The majority of the show's viewers are probably women and women are going to vote for the men...which is why we're down to 3 girls and still have 6 guys.

After watching Wednesday's show I started checking out some of the message boards to see what was up. Looks like a lot of people are saying the choreographer's were partially to blame. Obviously, there's always a risk of injury but the nature of the routine played a role in the injury.

yeah... I liked him at first but his "personality" is terrible. I also hate Robert for some reason. He's so happy go lucky it makes me sick. I'm rooting for kent, jose and lauren now.

Nearly every single Travis Wall routine is top notch. I can only think of one, maybe two, that isn't up to par but everything he's done this season and last season has been Emmy quality.

Plus he's basically the best dancer to ever be on the show (even though he didn't win). I'd put him, Danny (S3), Kayla (S5) and now Alex as the best dancers to be on SYTYCD.

Nappy Tabs was just amazing this year but even more so...the contemporary dancers stepped up their game and did hip-hop so well. Robert in the clown piece...and Lauren in that My Chick Bad thing too. Alex in that one above was the best but Lauren and Twitch was pretty awesome too.
